Charlotte and Robert Rodriguez are finally going to achieve their dream! For 21 years, they have rented the same apartment. Their daughter and grandchildren have lived there all their lives. They have watched as their siblings have bought their homes and moved to up to the revered status of “home owner.”
On Saturday September 27, Charlotte and Robert will be hands-on as the first wall of their home goes up. It is an exciting and emotional time for this large extended family of seven, soon to be eight! They will be able to see their house completed by the holidays, and all Charlotte is asking for this year is her brand-new home with big red bow around it.
In appreciation of all that they have been able to achieve through the Habitat program, Charlotte wrote a poem.
