After the tremendous success of May’s ‘Build the HYP’ Gala, which will soon culminate in the dedication of the nation’s first-ever fully-sponsored Young Professionals Habitat House, it is safe to say that in just 3 short years, Austin’s Habitat Young Professionals (HYP) have helped launch a movement. Across the country, Habitat affiliates are recognizing the great potential of young professionals to help serve their mission, and they often turn to Austin to see how it’s done.

It was especially exciting to open a copy of this month’s Habitat World Magazine and see a feature profile on the success of Austin HYP. Read by volunteers, donors, and colleagues around the world, the article features Board Member and HYP co-founder Luke Ellis, as well as Leadership Council and HYP members Amanda McPherson.
